CORE Labs collaborated with Greenhouse Project in the design and implementation of the exhibition ¨Influencias¨, hosted at the European pavilion at Shanghai EXPO 2010. Digital art is an image of our time and culture, and leads us to a search and experimentation in new shapes, ideas and techniques. In this edition of Beijing PechaKucha festival, eight artists and designers were invited to show their work and to discuss their opinions on digital art at UCCA inside 798 district.
Pechakucha Night is an intimate event that gives the chance to present one’s own work in a fresh and creative way. It was designed by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architects) in 2003 as a meeting point for young designers to connect and present their work publically.
Until today, Pechakucha Night has extended to more than 220 cities worldwide. The Japanese term for Pechakucha is translated as chitchat. In each meeting up to ten guests can perform 20 seconds length expositions each. The aim is to avoid old conferences and seminars.
Pechakucha offers a variety of speakers and images, while pauses are copious with drinks, music and, of course, chitchat.
The NIKE Woman China 2010 event focused in promoting this sportswear manufacturer women clothing line. Held in city of Shanghai in March 2010, the event opted for the integration of new technologies associated with the proposed advertising apparel line.
CORE Labs followed the idea of Greenhouse Project who designed and conducted the event, raising the creative idea of identity, furniture, interior architectural design and lighting.
Thanks to Greenhouse Project, the best Shanghai based creative studio :] CORE Labs could show its visual work on the Surface Swedish Fashion Night 2010. Proposing an audiovisual performance with video mapping pieces displayed all around the venue.

CORE Labs was invited to perform a Visual Installation at an event held at The Nut, a contemporary art exhibition space in the city of Shanghai.
The party, honoring the closure of a cycle of activities at The Nut, received the title of aNUTher dimension where the projections were thrown to the space’s walls and over the public. We love this space and its INHABITANTS.

CORE Labs has been selected at CIGE 2010 as Special Project in Subliminals.
CORE Labs attended the last edition of the China International Gallery Exhibition (CIGE 2010), held at the China World Exhibition Hall in Beijing at the end of April 2010. CORE’s was the only digital showroom at the fair; our aim was to inform about the new-media languages we work with. Not widely known among the public, it seemed surprised when discovering and interacting with our works, so different from the rest of the galleries.
