It's been a perfect DORKBOT BJ, as it was planned. We had a really good time, some of the fellows showed their works, we did it, we met new friends...and of course, we ate chuan'rs with Laoban Soundsystem

For Friday’s DorkbotBJ, we just added Laoban Soundsystem 1.5 to the mix to provide big sound for our outdoor presentation and mixing. Come check out the event! The upcoming Dorkbot on Friday in Beijing will also feature the Laoban Soundsystem 1.5. The big Laoban speakers with Chinese broken-ice grills will go outdoors. CORE will also provide a projector. If you make electronic music and/or have some video works to show off, please bring them out!
Dorkbot is an international group of creative people that works as a nexus for artists interested on electronic art. Dorkbot defines itself as a place where people who make strange stuff with electricity meet. It serves as a meeting place for sharing ideas.
It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue between professionals. The original event was dorkbot-nyc, started with the turning of the century by Douglas Repetto in New York City, with the support of the University of Columbia. Nowadays a worldwide dorkbot network works as a non-commercial franchising in over a hundred cities.
