MIRA! is a new Audiovisual Festival that mix electronic music and electronic visual on equal terms with multi-spatial format in a unique and significant space as the former industrial Fabra i Coats.

Artsmoved collaborates with MIRA! showing artists working in the experimentation field with new technologies. In this case, the video works could be seen through different media: plasma monitors, projectors, and stereo glasses that create an immersive experience in the viewer.

While you could relax on the furniture by Woouf [a cool collection of poufs based on oversized audio equipment].

MIRA! es un nuevo Festival Audiovisual que mezcla música electrónica y visuales en partes iguales, con un multiespacio en un lugar único como es el antiguo recinto industrial de Fabra i Coats.

ARTSMOVED colabora con MIRA! presentando el trabajo de artistas que están dentro del campo de experimentación tecnológica. En este caso, los trabajos de video pudieron ser vistas a través de diferentes vías: monitores de plasma, proyectores y gafas stereoscópicas creando una experiencia inmersiva.

Diego will be with us three months to make his project “a_sweet_loop,” consisting of the developpment and construction of a ceramic musical instrument driven by a sequencer and programmed with Arduino.

a_sweet_loop continues the research carried out in Pantone 802 [project by ferranElOtro Studio Espai Cultural Caja Madrid]. Performing a “translation” of four sound pieces in flashing lights.

a_sweet_loop is intended as eight ceramic pieces (with size and shape as the eight notes), which will be hit by electromagnets, connected to the controller board. Each ceramic piece can be hit individually or simultaneously in all possible combinations. So both melody and harmony lines can alternate as programmed.

Diego estará con nosotros tres meses realizando su proyecto ” a_sweet_loop”, que consistirá en el desarrolllo y construcción de un instrumento musical de piezas cerámicas manejado por un secuenciador y programado con Arduino.

a_sweet_loop continúa con la investigación que lleva a cabo en Pantone 802 [proyecto de ferranElOtro Studio para Espai Cultural de Caja Madrid]. Realizando una “traducción” de cuatro piezas sonoras en intermitencia de luces.

a_sweet_loop está pensado como ocho piezas cerámicas (que según tamaño y forma conformarán las notas de una octava), que serán golpeadas por electroimanes, conectados a la placa controladora. Las piezas cerámicas podrán ejecutarse individualmente o simultáneamente en todas sus combinaciones posibles. De manera que tanto melodía y armonía se alternen según las líneas programadas.

关于嘉宾：孟奇。至今已进行了11年的音乐制作。2004年在网络发表《清明雨》，2005年发表CD《山水恋》，2006年发表CD《山水•颤》，另有若干单曲在网络发布。由2005年至2009年间进行舞曲Live Set的演出。同时他是痴人乐队的成员。他也是Moog合成器的赞助音乐人。+ info.

About our Guest: Meng Qi (Beijing, 1985), is an electronic musician, been making music for 11 years. He had following releases: 2004 – “Vernal Rain” online release; 2005 – “Landscape In Love” – CD; 2006 – “Landscape On Live” – CD; and a bunch of singles relased online. During 2005 – 2009 he had done dance music live sets. He is a member of the Beijing local rock band “ChiRen” and also a Moog endorsed artist. Listen some of his productions here.

What is he going to talk about:

Brief introduction of the current synthesis types of electronic music;

Brief past and foreseeable future of analog synthesis;

The pinciple, elements and classic signal routing of analog synthesizer.

The spectacle was a macro-concert held in the Workers Gymnasium of Beijing, real time broadcast via Youku and social networks to every spot of China, where people could participate by sending their videos, sms and images that where taken by a new LBS system locating them and showing their avatars in the places from where they sent the sms in Google Maps and the big screen of the stage. Beijing’s interactive data visualization: the heart of the connection.

With all these images and videos we developped an application that was mixed and played real-time while the famous Li Yu Chun sing star performance.

The App rode a mosaic of images and avatars that people had sent, formimg the final image of the singer on stage while she was singing. We also streamed and gathered all the videos and synchronize them with visuals and the song creating a sort of real-time videoclip and a new kind of VJing interacting with all the fans in China. The first idea was to apply the app during the hole concert, but because of government preferences they allowed us to run it just on the main song of the concert.

这场盛大的演唱会及颁奖礼举办于北京工人体育馆，由优酷网实时直播，其他社交网络传播到全中国的各个城市，大家可以通过发送视频、短信和由LBS所定位的照片来参与活动，并在谷歌地图和演唱会大屏幕上显示自己的头像。北京是所有互动数据视觉化的联系中心。

运用这些图片和视频信息，我们开发了一款实时混聚程序，运用在著名歌手李宇春的表演中。

这款程序启用网友们发送的头像和图片所组成的马赛克，形成歌手在演唱中的实时画面。我们还将所有收集的视频素材整合，与音乐和其他视觉效果结合制作了实时的MV和一种新形式的VJing, 来与全中国的歌迷互动。这个创意的初衷是将这个效果应用于整场演唱会，但由于某些政策原因，我们只能在一首主要歌曲中使用。

El espectáculo fue un macro-concierto celebrado en el Gimnasio de los Trabajadores de Pekín, transmitido en tiempo real a través de Youku y las redes sociales a todos los rincones de China, donde la gente podía participar enviando sus vídeos, sms e imágenes que pasaban a través del sistema de localización LBS mostrando sus avatares en los lugares desde donde se envió el sms en Google Maps y la gran pantalla del escenario. Visualización interactiva de datos de Beijing: el corazón de la conexión.

Con todas estas imágenes y videos nosotros desarrollamos una aplicación que permitía mezclar y proyectar en tiempo real, durante la actuación de la famosa estrella Chun Li Yu.

La aplicación monta un mosaico de imágenes con los avatares que la gente ha enviado, formando la imagen final de la cantante en el escenario mientras cantaba. También reunimos todos los videos y los sincronizarmos con los efectos visuales y el sonido, creando una especie de videoclip en tiempo real y un nuevo tipo de VJing interactivo con todos los fans de China. La primera idea era utilizar la aplicación durante el concierto completo, pero debido a las preferencias del gobierno sólo nos permitió usarla durante la canción principal del concierto.

NORMAL, the new space of cultural intervention of the Universidade da Coruña, they curated a series of performances and video projections in the San Simon SINSAL Festival on 25 June, including some works of CORE Labs, MARULA and DELACREW.

The stage was within the chapel of San Simon, making an unusual and alternative use of space, giving a new feeling and promoting a very special atmosphere for viewing the works, videos, performances and dances that were presented.

More than 200 art works are being displayed on this exhibition and screening, related to various fields of new media art, such as bio-art,digital virtual art, artificial automatic installation , etc. The exhibition aims to show the way we interpret and express diversely the difference and feelings by technology art language in the post-human perspective . In addition, what digital age will bring us as new ethics, humans began to contact with the virtual people, virtual reality society is changing the way people interact and see.

The exhibition includes four parts: exhibition,forum/lecture/multi-media stage performance, new media art workshop, new media arts exhibition.

All is co-organized by Song Zhuang Art Center and Digital Art China . 本次展览及展映艺术家作品200多件，涉及新媒体艺术的各个领域：如生物艺术、数字虚拟艺术、人工自动装置等。展览旨在让我们站在后人类的角度，多元的诠释和表达科技艺术语言带给我们的差异感受与价值。另外数字时代也会给我们新的伦理观，人类开始与虚拟人交往，虚拟现实社会正在改变着人与人交往的结构关系。

Más de 200 obras de arte se muestran y proyectan, relacionados con diversos campos del arte new media, tales como bio-arte, arte digital virtual, instalación automática artificial, etc.

Se pretenden mostrar las diversas maneras de interpretar y expresar los sentimientos mediante el lenguaje tecnológico/artístico en la perspectiva post-humana. Preguntándose, ¿qué traerá la era digital como nueva ética ?, los seres humanos comienzan a ponerse en contacto con el yo virtual, la realidad virtual, cambiando la forma de interactuar de la sociedad.

La exposición consta de cuatro partes: exposición, foro / conferencia / performance multimedia y taller de new media art.

Todo está co-organizado por el Centro de Arte Song Zhuang y Arte Digital China. Li Xianting, como Director Académico, y un grupo de comisarios incluyendo: Zhang Haitao, Boqiao Wang, Wu Qiuyan, con algunos curadores invitados de algunas organizaciones Exhibiton influyentes como el Festival Arts Electronica de Linz, Austria, Hong Kong Microondas New Media Art Festival, Estados Unidos SIGGRAPH Digital Art Association.

Las pasadas semanas estuvimos centrados en la creación y producción del contenido visual jugando con el key visual y estética de el showcase, que estuvo rodeado de música experimental, un diseño del espacio muy cuidado con gran atención en los detalles y, sobre todo, un gran equipo de profesionales con los que siempre nos encanta trabajar.
