ArtsMoved is a mobile art festival sponsored by Spanish director Bigas Luna and Institut Ramón Llull, dedicated to spreading and promoting Spanish culture (specifically the culture of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands) through artwork by young artists in various fields: the plastic arts, poetry, electronic music, video art, interactive art and gastronomy. ArtsMoved takes shape as a mobile arts center which settles down for a certain period of time in different cities. In the first ArtsMoved festival in 2009, the destination was Argentina, where the festival presented work from 15 artists in 13 different centers in three Argentinian cities. In 2010, ArtsMoved, UCCA, CORE Labs and Instituto Cervantes are cooperating to bring Beijingers a taste of Catalonian and Balearic Islands culture through the creativity of a group of talented Catalan artists. With this purpose carries out a curatorial research and organizes, both inside and outside Spain, activities that share the image of an open and dynamic Cataluña. ArtsMoved is understood as a roaming gallery that travels and establishes itself for a period of time in a city with the purpose of interacting with the public. ArtsMoved es un festival ‘móbil’ apoyado por el director español Bigas Luna y el Institut Ramón Llull, dedicado a promocionar la cultura española (especialmente la cultura catalana e Islas Baleares) a través de obras de jóvenes artísticas en diferentes campos: desde las artes plásticas, poesía, música electrónica, video arte, gastronomía y arte interactivo. Artsmoved toma así forma de un centro artístico itinerante que se establece por un período de tiempo determinado en diferentes ciudades. En la primera edición de ArtsMoved en 2009, el destino fue Argentina, donde el festival presentó el trabajo de 15 artistas en 13 centros diferentes. En 2010, ArtsMoved, CORE Labs, UCCA y el Instituto Cervantes colaboraron y trabajaron juntos para traer al público de Beijing una muestra de la cultura catalana y las Islas Baleares a través de la creatividad de un grupo de artistas. Con este propósito se lleva a cabo una investigación curatorial y organiza, dentro y fuera de España, las actividades que comparten la imagen de una Cataluña abierta y dinámica con el propósito de interactuar con el público de cada ciudad.
