| AR Helmet is a project that researches on the possibilities of broadening visual perception.
It is based on a cardboard helmet to which a camera is attached. The camera receives information on the environment and sends it to the augmented reality application inside the processor. After this, the information is thrown back to the display screen placed inside the helmet. The user receives, thus, an augmented perception of the environment where he is placed. This tool is characterized by the freedom of movements it allows, as well as by the high-low experiences it guaranties. The project is developed inside CORE Labs’ line of work dedicated to open hardware. |

AR HELMET es un proyecto de investigación sobre las posibilidades de ampliación de la percepción visual.
Consta de un casco al que se adosa una cámara que recoge información del entorno. Estos datos son enviados a la aplicación de realidad aumentada del procesador, que los devuelve transformados a la pantalla de visión interna. El usuario recibe, así, una percepción aumentada del entorno en el que se inserta. Esta herramienta se caracteriza por la libertad de movimientos que deja al usuario, así como por las experiencias high-low tech que garantiza. El proyecto se desarrolla dentro de la línea de trabajo de open hardware de CORE Labs. |
